We went to a rendezvous in So. Alabama on Saturday. TVM was there with some of their rifles and some parts. They had some 13/16" .50cal. barrels about 36" or so long at a giveaway price. Depending on how brave you are they would make a light rifle. The deal for me was buying three pieces of killer curl hard maple blanks for next to nothing. Two of the blanks had a knot show up after they were bandsawed, and one raw blank needed planing but he didn't want to take the time. He said they couldn't use them for customer orders just firewood. Their firewood = my winter project!!
