Hawken Rifle

Pictures of a Hawken rifle made by Tim Cosby.  The checkering and engraving were done  by the late Murrell Amos.  Murrell was a fine craftsman.  The walnut rifle is .62 cal. and also has an interchangeable .50 cal barrel. The .62 is a hoss with a heavy load and suitable for hunting only. The .50 works fine for targets and plinking.
The idea behind the rifle was to build one that Tristam Campbell might have made at/for the Hawken Shop.
