Genuine "non-Historically Correct, but really fun to shoot" rifle

This rifle came to me from a friend in Chilton county who got it from a man  Jasper, AL.

The story of this rifle is that a man named Boggis(in keeping with the nonHC theme, the name is electrically engraved on the front tang of the triggerguard)  built it for something to do while his broken leg was healing.  It has a 28" tapered 50cal. H&H(how many of you remember H&H barrels?) blued barrel with a Bomar adjustable back sight and a high front sight to match.  I believe the lock is a Davis.  The adjustable target buttplate with rubber recoil pad and bolt action architecture are the frosting on the nonHC cake.  HOWEVER, it only weighs about 5-6lbs. and is really easy to carry around.  I adjusted the pad down to make the stock fit and as weird as it looks with the pad hanging down, it fits me well with its  13.375" LOP  and  high sight line.  The liner makes for quick ignition, and the single trigger is light.  With the recoil pad recoil is a non-issue. It would be a great kid's or ladies' rifle.
