Erin Cosby with a fine five year old turkey she killed while hunting
with her grandfather Tim Cosby March 18 2017. The bird weighed 21.38
pounds had a 10 inch beard and 1 1/2" spurs. Erin's second turkey. She
killed her first turkey at the age of thirteen. Now in college she
doesn't get to hunt often but really enjoys hunting especially with her
grandfather. Tim actually called the bird to the gun for Erin and she
made a fine shot with a 20 gauge shotgun. Congratulations Erin on
harvesting a trophy bird.
Not wanting to be completely outdone this turkey season by his sister Erin, Daniel Cosby bagged this three year old bird on March 29. The bird was called in to the gun by his grandfather Tim Cosby. The bird was harvested on a friends land in Montgomery Co. near Lapine Al. The turkey gobbled at least one hundred times before getting in range for a shot. Congratulations Daniel on killing a fine turkey (even though its not quite a big as your sister's bird)
Tim killed this one.

After
many days of hunting, miles of walking, and hours of sitting in a
blind master turkey hunter eleven year old Hunter Cosby finally killed a
3 or 4 year old turkey late the afternoon of April 14 2017. Hunting
with his grandfather Tim Cosby, Hunter killed the turkey just before
fly up time. The turkey came in gobbling apparently to roost with his
new found hen. Hunter dropped the bird with his new 20 gauge Benelli
Nova pump shotgun that he got for Christmas. First shot at the first
turkey and he dropped it in its tracks. This is Hunters fifth long beard
in as many years. Killed his first at the age of six. Really nice big
gobbler but not quite as good as the one his cousin Erin's killed (see
below).
