Dewitt "Tin Man" Cowles killed this nice buck during Alabama's week long muzzleloading hunt. Even though he used an inline pellet gun instead of a flintlock, he still gets credit from the locals for a muzzleloading kill. (I doubt the deer knew the difference.) Because Alabama is in the middle of a severe drought, it is rumored that he lured the deer by removing the lid from a canteen of water and waiting for the buck to come in for a drink. No one knows for sure, and he won't tell.
