Here is Tim's hog. Don't know how much it weighed, but it was all the two of us could do to drag it into the light for pictures. I was quietly working my crossword puzzle in a shooting house over the hill. Since I hunt with my earplugs inserted in an attempt to save what hearing I have left(youngsters take note), I heard the shooting through them. Made sort of a rumble like far off thunder. I thought it was a thunder storm and started looking for the cloud. The hog was finally dispatched, and the rumbling stopped. I thought the storm moved the other way and kept hunting. Must have been quite a show with the hog flopping and all the reloading going on at the same time. Don't know if you can see it, but the loading block on the bag is empty.
The rifle is an NC rifle built by Mark Silver. So many of his rifles end up on the wall that Mark is always happy when someone actually puts one to work.

Tim had seen the hog earlier and so did I, but the light wasn't good enough for either of us to see the front sight before he left. Today he was running a bit late and came by the bait later in the morning for a snack before the heat hit. Not his day!!
