A day on the range.

Tim and I went to the range today.  He needed to shoot the new Gahagan rifle, and I needed to shoot my Barker rifle to check the sights for hog hunting.  It was only about 100deg. or at least it felt like it.  I drank three 16oz. bottles of water.  We shot from about 8:30 until 1:00pm or so.  Then it started getting too hot.
Here are the two rifles that Brian Barker built.  Tim titled this one: "Cinderella and her plain sister."  His is a version of an NC swivel box and the mine is based on Jacob Young's work.  Both have really fast ignition.  44in. B weight 50s are light.  Nice hunting weight rifles.  (Note:  Better pics of mine on the Contemporary Maker's blog 3/16 and Tim's on this blog 9/15.)

Here is a video of mine going off.  After this shot I found a broken flint.  The new flint was quicker.
