I got this rifle from Brian Lamaster's online auction. It was built by Michael Hayes in the 80s. The story is that a doctor was going elk hunting and ordered the rifle. Then he changed his mind and never went. The gun is in new condition. Really nice work on this one. It is an English stalking style of rifle in .56cal. The 31" barrel is swamped. The lock is a modified L&R. It has really nice English style engraving. Even the single set trigger plate is engraved. Hayes' rifles would occasionally appear in Track of the Wolf's catalog back when they had a paper catalog.
