2019 TN / KY Rifle show at Knoxville, TN.

My friend Tim Cosby and I made the trip to Knoxville Thursday and spent an enjoyable day Friday at the Tennessee Kentucky Longrifle show. The show has two large rooms full of some of the finest contemporary and original longrifles made. For a person that enjoys these old style rifles and the fine people associated with them it is close to heaven. 

     Many longtime friends are in the pictures shown below. Next big show the Contemporary Longrifle Association show in August at Lexington Ky. Gotta save my money never know when a longrifle might want to follow me home.

     First picture shows l/r Ron Winfield, Wayne Estes, Tim Crosby (the horn maker) and in the back you can see Dave Rase. My friend Tim Cosby often says he is just one (r) short of being a helluva horn maker. All kidding aside people often confuse their names which can lead to some interesting mixups. Pictures are from the room where our tables were located. There was another larger room with more tables just down the hall.  One room is more for the antique original rifles, and the other smaller room is more for the contemporary rifles.  The Jubilee Hall is only one exit(2 mi.) from the hotels, and it is near the interstate.  Because they are a wedding reception and meeting hall, the Jubilee folks can furnish lunch and supper onsite.  They have a dining room for the buffet style BBQ supper, and the lunch is a grab and go sandwich buffet with coffee, tea, and water  available all day long.   One of the best longrifle shows on the southeast.
      Dave Rase came from Washington state to visit along with Mike Brooks from Iowa.  Jack Duprey came from the north end of Michigan.  Grand Blanc I believe.  Last year I sold a rifle to a fellow from New York state.  Folks come from all around.
