The
story in 12 year old Hunter's words; "I was sitting in the stand, and
the buck came into the food plot from my right. As he came within range, I
drew my bow back and hit my cap brim stopping my draw. I couldn't get
to full draw. I let my compound down and reached up and removed my cap.
All this motion made the buck nervous, and it started to move to my left
in a hurry. As I came to full draw, I let out a fawn bleat. The buck
hesitated just long enough to let my sight pin settle on its target, and
the arrow hit the shoulder. He only traveled about 30/40 yards. Fortunately, I had made a perfect heart shot. What a thrill."
"My
great uncle Steve, Papa's brother, spent some time the day before
giving me some instructions on shooting my bow. The tips on shooting my
bow sure paid off. Thanks Uncle Steve."
