Jack Duprey smoothbore.

Went to the TN/KY gun show over the weekend.  Three of us had our tables together.  Lots of fun with a crew around.  I sold a rifle to one fellow and a blank and inlet barrel to Jack Duprey.  Then turned right around at the end of the show and bought a smoothbore from Jack.  Always wanted one of his guns, but they were always .25 or .30 cals.  This one has a .58 cal.  barrel with a Chambers lock.

Nifty little latch head on the patchbox.

The insert on the front sight is a nice touch.  It isn't really T shaped.  The flash made it look that way.

The barrel has some texture, but it isn't overdone.

Here are the first few shots at 50yds. offhand after some misses finding the sight picture.  45gr. of 3F with a .535 ball and .018 loose weave patch is enough to make the balls splatter on the 12" x 1/2" steel.  I was surprised by how much the light load makes the steel jump.
