After shooting the new Ray rifle, I needed to polish the lock and see why it was eating flints. After polishing all the internals, the trigger pull was excellent, but it was still breaking flints. The frizzen needed timing. When I got the frizzen timed and polished, I now have 30 shots(so far)on the same flint. Ignition is quick with no vibration. A good improvement. I also opened up the back sight notch while filing down the front sight.

The bottom holes are before the sight work. The holes in the bull are after the sight adjustments. We had a high wind advisory today that didn't help holding still, but opening up the back sight made a difference in the size of the group. There are seven shots in the hole at 5 o'clock. Still some work to do, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
